With the iWatch, iPhone Air, iPhone 6, iOS 8 and perhaps even “one more thing” coming, Apple is working hard to make sure lots of eyeballs will be watching coming the company’s media event next Tuesday. Or, put another way, while it is true that there is no gawd, there is a place of worship and the next service is scheduled to begin at 1pm (EST) on September 9.
And, yes, the revolution will be streamed.
Apple has streamed the great majority of its recent media events. However, whether or not a stream would be available has been left until the last minute. Not this time.
Apple has published an Apple Live Event Placeholder Page, where you will find a media event countdown timer (image above). Also, the company is inviting interested parties to add this media event to your calendar.
Are PC people and fandroids welcome, too? Yes, the calendar event is an ICS file, though to view Apple’s Tuesday, September 9 media you will need some sort of Apple iThing (Live streaming video requires Safari 5.1.10 or later on OS X v10.6.8 or later; Safari on iOS 6.0 or later. Streaming via Apple TV requires second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 5.0.2 or later)…
See you there?
