“Obsessively, compulsively self aware” is one way to describe “Apple Backstage,” the preroll cold open that played in the moments before Tim Cook took the stage to deliver his 2015 WWDC keynote. However, “funny” is perhaps the best single word to label it.
Apple Backstage stars Saturday Night Live’s Bill Hader and features appearances by Community’s Danny Pudi and Veep’s Matt Walsh. All very nice, those guys, but I would like to know the name of the Hader’s assistant — she’s very endearing.
That said, likely the memory we all share from Apple Backstage is the elevator full of Tim Cook lookalikes — brilliant.
Apple Backstage: The pretty one
Or, do you think another Apple Backstage moment is even more memorable, like the “Angel Investor” raining money down on people backstage?
