First things first! OS X El Capitan Beta 3 plus an up-to-date install makes audio enhancer Boom 2, well, boom again — huzzah! Additionally, a recent Acorn update seems to address OS X El Cap-related issues.
But that’s hardly the biggest news in this third OS X El Capitan Beta, which brings interesting changes and tweaks.
What’s new in OS X El Capitan Beta 3:
— Build number 15A216g
— Updated Two-Factor Authentication: Users are required to re-authenticate, Recovery Key will no longer be part of the process
— Photos app – New albums for selfies and screenshots in the Photos app
— The calendar app includes a new splash screen
— Mission Control drag n’ drop bug fixes
Apple has changed how Command + 1, 2, 3, etc work in Safari 9. Previously, pressing Command + 1 would open the respective website from the Bookmarks Bar. Now, however, Command + 1 [sic] acts as a tab switcher. There is apparently no way to bring back the old functionality via preferences.
