Can you image using touch enabled OS X El Capitan on your iPad Air? Honestly, I can. However, running the full desktop Mac operating system might go over better on the long-rumored 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
Patently Apple, which tracks Apple’s various patent and trademark filings around the world, reports that the mothership filed for a trademark covering OS X El Capitan running on a tablet.
Big deal? Perhaps — Apple hasn’t in the past filed for trademark protection for OS X on a tablet. So, while the company might simply be covering its bases as a matter of course, it’s now somewhat more likely OS X El Capitan could show up on a future iPad.
And, if that were to happen, the long-whispered 12-inch iPad Pro would be a more functional choice over the company’s standard 9.7-inch iPad Air. Moreover, an iPad Pro that’s pressure sensitive with full Force Touch haptic feedback could be a real game changer…
What’s your take?
