French fansite Cosomac went rooting around in El Capitan Beta 6 and found, lo’ and behold, more 4K iMac references (French). Of course, these 4K iMac references underscore those previously leaked by Apple back in June and confirmed by Apple rumorologist extraordinaire Ming-chi Kuo confirmed earlier this week.
Specifically, Kuo said to expect new iMac with “more powerful processors and much better display quality,” the later likely meaning Retina.
And, here is Consomac’s deep inside OS X El Capitan Beta 6 proof thereof:
While Apple did release a new entry-level 21-inch $1,099 all-in-one in 2014. The company left the other two smaller iMac models unchanged, meaning those two models haven’t been updated since 2013.
Needless to say, truly fresh 21-inch iMac configs with one or more 4k models will be very welcome…
