Needless to say, one of the hottest need to know items is iOS 8 compatibility. Here's the list as delivered by Apple senior software VP Craig Federighi.

Apple has introduced iOS 8 to developers at the WWDC 2014 conclave currently ongoing at San Francisco’s Moscone Center. Needless to say, one of the hottest need to know items is iOS 8 compatibility.

Here’s the list as delivered by Apple senior software VP Craig Federighi.

iOS 8 Compatible iPhones:
— iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s
— iPod touch 5th generation

iOS 8 Compatible iPads:
— iPad 2, iPad with Retina (3, 4), iPad Air
— iPad mini, iPad mini with Retina

Compared to iOS 7, we seem to have lost only the iPhone 5. Apple seems to be bending over backwards to maintain strong backward compatibility, which is good for the company’s loyal and loving installed base.

What are you liking most about iOS 8 and its many new features?
