Now on iPhone: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Aspyr released Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic for iPad ($4.99, App Store) back in May. It’s one of the great games of Star Wars canon and folks immediately began hankering for an iPhone playable version - that wait is over.
Version 1.1 of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic ($4.99) is now available on the App Store for both iPad, iPod touch and iPhone. And, here’s a quick look at the new features in this update:
— Improved graphics — Shadows are now enabled for all Retina iPad models and the iPhone 5s
— Enhanced lighting — Bloom effects are now enabled for Retina iThings
— Widescreen support — Play the game on iPhone, iPod touch in true widescreen
— Updated UI — Interface and text have been optimized for iPhone, iPod touch screens
— Controller support — Experimental implementation for Made for iPhone (MFi) controllers
Of course, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic ($4.99, MAS) has been available on the Mac for many happy, light saber-slashing years.
Pro tip? Buy the version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic you want before you get on the plane, train or in that automobile.
Now, a quick personal question — where’s your other hand?
