Vevo Coming to Apple TV [u], Get It Now on Roku
Steve Job’s little black hobby puck accounts for 56 percent of the IPTV set top market. So, when important new content, like Vevo, comes to the platform, it’s a big deal.
Vevo is coming to Apple TV, perhaps as early as this week. And, that’s a good thing, especially for Sony and Universal Music, which get to control the message and not share advertising revenue with Google’s YouTube.
The move is part of Vevo’s strategy to surmount its biggest challenge: getting fans to watch its videos and original content though the sites and apps it owns—and not through YouTube — WSJ (paywall).

Yes, Vevo on Apple TV will be a good thing — [u] now available. However, Vevo on Roku has been a good thing since December 2012 — go to go to Vevo and set up an account. Then on your Roku, add Vevo in the Channel Store and get the activation key — your done.
And, for what it’s worth, The CW on Roku was a good thing before arriving on Apple TV.
Yes, cord cutter boys n’ girls, I am a big Roku fan. That said, how you choose to cut the cord is all good — just cut the cord already…
