“A teenage boy surprises his family with a thoughtful holiday gift,” is how Apple describes their annual Christmas TV ad. Snow angels and cookies, sledding and Christmas dinner — just some of the thousand and one details that make the holidays such a personal and family touchstone for Americans of every stripe. Apple’s Misunderstood Christmas ad is very nicely done.
