Help YouTube test HTML5

Sick and tired (or tired and sick) of all the trouble Flash causes on your Mac? Here’s a way to reduce your exposure to all of the performance, stability and resource problems Adobe’s multimedia plugin causes, and you get to help test leading-edge HTML5 video playback.

YouTube is running an “opt-in experiment” for their HTML5 Video Player, which delivers crisp H.264 video to your Mac without. All you need is a modern browser installed — Safari 4.x, Google Chrome or Microsoft Internet Explorer with Google Chrome Frame.

Really, that’s it. Mac, PC and Linux users are all welcome — help put a nail in Flash’s coffin and get superior video playback in the mix (sweet).
